Fly Fishing Guide Job Description and Highlights

Qualifications

· Deep understanding of fly-fishing mechanics and instruction

· Minimum CPR/First-aid

· Ability to quickly assess and adapt daily plan

· Ability to read water, and know the Estes Park, Colorado and the Rocky Mountain National Park rivers, creeks, streams, and lakes.

· Basic knowledge of entomology

Responsibilities

· Conduct safe, compelling, educational trips for our guests in various settings

· Teach fly fishing fundamentals including casting, and fly fishing on the river to a range of ages and abilities

At Lost Outfitters, we believe in providing safe and compelling walk and wade fly fishing trips in Estes Park, Colorado, and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The role as a fly-fishing guide is to create an unforgettable experience for our guests while maintaining a high level of professionalism and care. Fly fishing guides at Lost Outfitters have the unique opportunity of access to the Rocky Mountain National Park and all the great fishing areas around Estes Park, Colorado. Requirements: • Deep understanding of fly-fishing mechanics and instruction • Preferred experience in fly fishing guiding and instruction • Minimum CPR/First-aid Expectations: • Conduct safe, compelling, educational trips for our guests in various settings • Teach fly fishing fundamentals including; casting, and fly fishing on the river to a range of ages and abilities • Ability to quickly assess and adapt daily plan • Ability to read water • Waders and boots for clients supplied by Lost Outfitters
